Inrō emails you about two very different things: your account breaking, and everything else. You can turn off everything else.
This is about email Inrō sends you. It has nothing to do with messages your automations send your own contacts; for those, see Opt-outs and Unsubscribes.
Alerts you'll want to keep
These tell you something is wrong and your automations are affected:
Your Instagram account disconnected. The most important email Inrō sends. Until you reconnect, nothing runs. See What Happens When Your Instagram Account Is Disconnected for Security.
Automations disabled or suspended.
Your OpenAI key hit a rate limit, if you use your own key. At most one a day.
You can switch these off, but think twice. They're the only warning you get that your account has stopped working, and Inrō won't call you.
Product news
New features, product updates and tips from the Inrō team. Switch these off freely if you'd rather find things yourself.
Emails that always arrive
Some email ignores your preferences entirely, because it's either legally required or the direct answer to something you just did:
Invoices and receipts
Payment failures, payment reminders and plan suspension notices
An export you asked for
Password resets
Team invitations
Account suspension notices
There's no way to turn these off. If you don't want invoices by email, the ones you need are always in the billing portal: see Your Invoices & Billing Details (incl. VAT).
Changing what you get
Every email you can turn off has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. It opens your preference page, where you can switch off one category or all of them at once. The page also lists what stays transactional, so you can see what you'll still receive.
The link never expires, so an old email in your inbox still works months later.
⚠️ Preferences follow the email address, not your login. If alerts for an account go to a shared address such as team@, unsubscribing turns them off for everyone reading that inbox, not just you. There's currently no way to reach the preference page from inside the app: use the link in any Inrō email.
Who gets the alerts
Account alerts go to the email on the organization, which isn't always the person running it day to day. If the wrong person is being told your Instagram disconnected, change it in Profile → Organization details. See Managing Your Organisation & Team Members.
🐾 Netsuke's Tips
If Inrō emails feel noisy, turn off product news and keep account alerts. That's almost always the split people actually want.
Check where your organization's email points after someone leaves your team. A disconnection alert sent to an inbox nobody reads is the same as no alert.
Add Inrō to your contacts so alerts don't land in spam. A disconnection notice you never see costs you every automation until you happen to open the app.
What's next?

Opt-outs and Unsubscribes for the other kind of unsubscribe: your contacts leaving your DMs.
