If your campaign isn't sending or stopped partway through, here's how to find out what's happening and get it moving again. Start by checking its status.
First, check the campaign status
Go to Campaigns in the left sidebar, find the campaign, and look at the status:
Draft: It was never sent. Click Edit campaign and send it.
Scheduled: It's queued for a future time. Check the date, or edit it to change the send time.
Sending: It's going out right now. Large campaigns take time.
Completed: It finished. Click View results to see how it did.
Canceled: It was stopped. Metrics up to the cancellation point are kept.
Stuck on "Sending"?
A campaign sitting on Sending for hours without progress is unusual. Check these:
Your plan limits. On the free plan, you can activate up to 100 contacts. If you hit that cap mid-send, the campaign pauses. Go to Accounts → Subscription & add-ons and check your activated-contacts count. If you're at the cap, upgrade and the queue resumes.
Your Instagram connection. If your account disconnected mid-send, messages stop. Go to Accounts → Instagram account and confirm it shows Connected. If not, reconnect. See How to fix common Meta & Instagram connection errors.
Give it time. If both look fine, Inrō sends in batches of 1,000 and the progress bar can move in jumps rather than smoothly. Large campaigns take longer.
Contacts showing as "Limited"
"Limited" does not mean an Instagram rate limit. It means those contacts would push you past your monthly activated-contacts cap, so Inrō held them back.
On every plan except Pro, once you reach your cap, further campaign and automation messaging is blocked for the rest of the billing period. To reach the held contacts, upgrade your plan or wait for the next period, then use Resend to these contacts. See What are activated contacts.
Contacts showing as "Failed"
"Failed" means Inrō tried to send but Instagram couldn't deliver to that specific contact. Common reasons:
The contact has DMs turned off or restricted.
The contact has blocked you.
The contact's account was deleted or disabled.
There's nothing to fix here. These contacts genuinely can't receive the DM. You can add them to a folder to track them, but the message won't go through.
Campaign shows as "Paused"
A campaign pauses either manually (you or a teammate paused it) or automatically (you hit your plan cap). Check both:
Go to Accounts → Subscription & add-ons and check your activated-contacts count.
If you're within your limit, someone may have paused it by hand. Open the campaign and click Resume.
⚠️ If none of these fix it
Reach out to our support team with the campaign name, its current status, and a screenshot of the results page. If the issue is broader than one campaign and messages aren't going out anywhere, see My messages aren't sending: rate limits & what to do.
