The "Missing Permissions" error means Inrō doesn't have all the access it needs to your Instagram account. This usually happens when one or more permissions were skipped during the connection flow.
What causes it
A permission was declined or unchecked when you connected your Instagram account.
Your account's permissions were changed in Facebook Business settings.
You connected before a new permission requirement was added, so your connection is now out of date.
Reconnect with every permission granted
The fix is to go through the connection flow again and accept everything. You can start it two ways: click Fix permissions on the error itself, or go to Accounts → Instagram account and use the refresh icon. The account page also lists which permissions are missing, so you can see exactly what needs restoring.
Go to Accounts → Instagram account, or click Fix permissions on the error.
Click the refresh icon next to your account.
Log in with Facebook.
If Facebook offers an Edit settings option (sometimes "Edit previous settings"), open it and confirm that all your Pages and your linked Instagram Business account are selected.
On the screen that asks what Inrō can access, check every item. Don't skip or decline anything.
Complete the flow all the way back to Inrō.
Inrō needs access to your messages, comments, and profile to run automations. If any of those are missing, things will break.
Check your Facebook Business permissions
If you manage an Instagram account through a Facebook Business account you don't own, the Business admin may have restricted your access.
Ask the Business account owner to check Facebook Business Manager → Settings → Instagram accounts and confirm your user role has the access it needs.
Make sure your account is Business or Creator
Personal Instagram accounts don't support the permissions Inrō needs. If your account was switched back to personal, that triggers this error.
In Instagram, go to Settings and privacy → Account type and tools and confirm it shows Business or Creator.
⚠️ If the issue persists
Reach out to our support team with a screenshot of the error. If the error appears right after a connection drop, the Authorization Missing guide covers that case, and the main connection guide has the full checklist.
