Updated over a week ago

Inrō enables you to boost conversions and keep an organized contact database through dedicated automation actions. In this article, we explore actions that drive conversions—such as posing questions, distributing conversion links, conducting surveys, and sharing payment links—and actions for managing contacts, including organizing folders, updating properties, and collecting email addresses.

Conversions Actions

1. Ask a Question

Sends a quick reply question with message bubbles to prompt immediate audience input.

  • How to Use: Add the “Ask a Question” action in your campaign or scenario, type your question and answer bubbles, and then decide on follow-up steps based on the responses.

  • Why It’s Useful: It kickstarts conversations with a simple, interactive format without overwhelming your audience.

  • Additional Note: Limiting the number of response bubbles to a maximum of three prevents scenario complexity and keeps user engagement straightforward.

2. Send Conversion Link

Shares a clickable link in a DM that directs users to a specific conversion goal, such as a signup form or landing page.

  • How to Use: Insert the “Send Conversion Link” action into your campaign/scenario and configure the URL with a brief message. You can customize follow-up and reminder steps based on whether they click the link.

  • Why It’s Useful: It seamlessly guides users from a conversation to a conversion step while tracking performance. Using this, you can always send the right link at the right time.

  • Additional Note: You can find and manage all your conversion links in the Conversion Links tab on the left pane under Scenarios.

3. Send a Survey

Delivers a survey directly via DM, enabling you to gather detailed feedback or qualify leads.

  • How to Use: Add the “Send a Survey” action in your automation setup; you can choose between a single-question survey (similar to a poll) or a multi-question survey that presents a full form for input. Read more about sending surveys from Inrō.

  • Why It’s Useful: Surveys capture essential information from your audience in a structured format, informing your strategy and personalizing future interactions.

  • Additional Note: Choose the survey type based on your engagement goals—simple survey for quick feedback or multiple questions to collect in-depth insights and data.

4. Send a Payment Link

Sends a payment link in a DM that allows users to complete transactions directly inside Instagram.

  • How to Use: Once you have set up and linked your Stripe Connect account, add the “Send a Payment Link” action to your campaign/scenario and configure the link accordingly.

  • Why It’s Useful: It simplifies purchasing by enabling direct transactions, reducing friction, and expediting conversions.

  • Additional Note: Ensure your Stripe Connect integration is active for seamless payment processing and using payment links.

Contacts Actions

1. Add/Remove Folder

Automatically organizes contacts by adding or removing them from designated folders based on engagement.

  • How to Use: Integrate this action in your scenario/campaigns to dynamically sort contacts into folders for targeted follow-ups.

  • Why It’s Useful: It keeps your CRM organized and enables precise segmentation for future campaigns.

  • Additional Note: Make sure you use folders actively - they also help you run targeted follow-up campaigns in a breeze!

2. Update Contact Property

Modifies or adds information to a contact’s profile, such as updating their phone number, city, or any custom fields you chose.

  • How to Use: Add "Update contact property" action to your automation and select the property you want to change along with the value you would like to use to update this.

  • Why It’s Useful: It maintains accurate, up-to-date contact data, enhancing personalization and segmentation in subsequent communications.

  • Additional Note: You should use variables in the value field to collect the information during the workflow and update it automatically.

3. Collect Email Address

Automatically waits and gathers a user’s email address during a DM interaction.

  • How to Use: Add the “Collect Email Address” action in your scenario where capturing an email is critical for follow-up communication.

  • Why It’s Useful: It expands your outreach capabilities by building a robust email list for multi-channel marketing.

  • Additional Note: This action directly feeds the collected data into your CRM, streamlining your contact acquisition process.
