In this use case—our AI Advisor example—you’ll learn how to set up a smart assistant that qualifies prospects, offers tailored recommendations, and guides users toward a purchase or booking.

This guide shows you how to build, customize, and launch your AI Advisor in Inrō.

Step 1: Access the AI Advisor Feature

Goal: Start your setup by activating the AI Agent feature within your Inrō account.

  • Log in to your Inrō account.

  • Enabled the AI add-on from the "Add-ons" section in Settings.

  • Navigate to “AI Agent” in the left menu.

  • Start the configuration process.

Step 2: Create a Lead-Qualifying Survey

Goal: Collect key user information to personalize your AI Agent’s responses for better engagement.

  1. Go to the Automation section and select “Surveys.”

  2. Click “Create Survey” and choose “Multiple Questions.”

  3. Add key questions like:

    • “What’s your industry?”

    • “What’s your biggest challenge in [your niche]?”

    • “What goal are you aiming to achieve?”

  4. Ensure responses are saved and linked to Inrō’s CRM.

💡Pro-tip: Include an email field to capture contacts for creating multi-channel sequences and sharing this information with your tools/CRM.

Step 3: Train Your AI Advisor

Goal: Customize and train your AI to align with your brand’s tone and industry expertise.

  1. Open AI Agent Settings and select “Training.”

  2. Choose your training method:

    • Use the Generate Training Data option to create data based on your Instagram profile.

    • You can also upload existing data from your knowledge base or FAQs, etc. and use the Improve Training Data option to further refine and enhance your existing data.

  3. Customize the AI’s persona by setting a name (like “Social Media Assistant”), message style, tone, and options such as emoji usage.

  4. Connect survey responses to AI replies for tailored advice.

  5. Click “Train Your Agent” and then test the AI via live chat.

💡Pro-tip: Ensure your AI agent data is always up-to-date and relevant. Also, test for various things like tone of voice, accuracy of data and relevance of answers during setup for best final results.

Step 4: Deploy your AI Advisor

Goal: Set up an automation workflow that triggers your AI Agent’s responses based on user actions, with two usage options to suit your needs.

There are two ways to deploy the AI Agent:

A. Global Activation: Automatically triggers the AI for all incoming messages.

B. Scenario-Based Usage: It uses AI only in defined automation scenarios, allowing you to instruct it with a short prompt for targeted behavior in specific situations.

For this guide, we’ll focus on scenario-based usage option:

  • Navigate to “Automation Scenarios” and click “Create New Automation.”

  • Define your triggers and actions. For example:

    • Trigger: User sends a DM saying “Interested.”

    • Action 1: Automatically send the lead-qualifying survey.

    • Action 2: AI Advisor analyzes responses and replies with personalized recommendations based on the survey data.

    • Action 3: If the user confirms interest, send a booking link for a consultation.

  • Optionally, set up a follow-up message if there is no response after 24 hours.
