When using Inrō, you might encounter a "Missing Permissions" error. This happens because Inrō doesn’t have all the necessary permissions to access your Instagram account features.



Why does this happen?

This can occur for several reasons:

  • New Features: We occasionally introduce new features that require updated permissions.

  • Expired Connections: Instagram or Facebook connections can expire over time, requiring a refresh.

How do I fix it?

Here’s a step-by-step guide to identify and resolve the issue:

Step 1: Identify Missing Permissions

  1. Locate the Error: If you see the "Missing Permissions" message in Inrō, some required permissions are missing.

  2. View the Details:

    • Click on Fix Permissions directly from the error notification.

    • Alternatively, go to the Organization Account page in your Profile to review the list of missing permissions.

Step 2: Fix the Permissions

  1. Start the Reconnection Process:

    • Click on Reconnect to initiate Facebook’s authorization process.

  2. Edit Previous Settings:

    • During the authorization process, choose Edit Settings when prompted.

    • Ensure that Inrō has access to:

      • All Pages associated with your Instagram Business account.

      • Linked Instagram Business Accounts.

  3. Grant Full Permissions:

    • As you go through the steps, ensure every required permission is enabled.

    • Tip: You can review all permissions before the end of the process.

⚠️ Make sure you go all the way until you come back to Inrō.

Step 3: Verify the Fix

  • Once you’re back in Inrō, the "Missing Permissions" message should disappear.

  • If the message persists:

    1. Double-check that all permissions were granted during the setup.

    2. Ensure you selected all linked Pages and Instagram accounts.
