Error validating access token.
If you're getting the following message:
This means that Meta/Instagram has invalidated your previous authorization for security reasons. While this can happen randomly, it's usually caused by one of the following:
you updated your Facebook password
someone with access to your Facebook page has updated their password
you have connected another external app to your Facebook page
Meta has detected unusual behavior on your Instagram account
To fix the issue, you usually only need to reauthorize your account by clicking the Reauthorise button.
⚠️ The message keeps appearing
In some cases, fixing the issue requires more than reauthorizing your account. In that case, you need to completely remove Inrō's access from your account and authorize it again from the beginning.
⚠️ When you remove access to your Facebook account, you have 24 hours to reconnect; otherwise, Meta/Instagram requires us to delete all your account data from Inrō.
To remove our access to your account, you can go to your Business Integrations settings on Facebook.
Then, remove Inrō's access from the list of integrations.
If you return to Inrō and refresh the page, you should see a new popup to reconnect your account. Simply go through the same authorization steps as the first time, and it should be sorted out (follow our instructions if you're unsure).
⚠️ I am still getting the message after removing and authorizing my account
If you're still getting the message after all these steps, it means Meta/Instagram needs a few days to remove the security measures on your account. Retry these after 24-48 hours; please let us know if it's unresolved.
