In most cases, connecting Inrō to Instagram is smooth and quick. But sometimes, you may encounter Error 400. This is an Instagram-side error (not from Inrō) that a few users have reported. While there’s no official fix from Instagram, we’ve compiled a list of proven solutions that have helped many users.
Quick Fix Checklist
Try these steps in order — most users find their issue solved after just 2–3 attempts:
Clear browser cookies and cached data.
Open Instagram in Incognito / Private Mode.
Switch devices (mobile ↔ desktop).
Try a different browser.
Change your network (Wi-Fi ↔ mobile data).
Log out, close Instagram fully, then log back in.
Wait 30–60 minutes and retry.
If still stuck, connect via Meta for Business login.
Steps to Fix Instagram Error 400 (try in order)
1. Clear Browser Data
Delete cookies and cached files from your browser. Old session data can sometimes interfere with new logins.
On Chrome: Go to Settings → Privacy and Security → Clear Browsing Data.
Select Cookies and Cached Images/Files, then restart your browser.
2. Use Incognito / Private Browsing Mode
Open Instagram in a private window. This prevents cached data, extensions, or stored cookies from interfering.
On Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+N (Mac).
On Safari/Firefox: Cmd+Shift+N or Ctrl+Shift+P.
3. Try a Different Device
Sometimes the issue is device-specific.
If you’re on desktop, try logging in via mobile.
If you’re on mobile, try a desktop browser.
4. Switch Browsers
Not all browsers handle Instagram sessions the same way.
If you’re on Chrome, try Firefox, Safari, or Edge.
This often resolves login-related glitches.
5. Change Network Connection
Instagram may block certain IPs temporarily.
Switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data (or vice versa).
If possible, try a different network entirely, such as tethering to another phone.
6. Refresh Instagram Session
A full logout and re-login can reset session errors.
Log out of Instagram completely.
Close your app or browser.
Log back in from scratch.
7. Wait and Retry
Sometimes, Error 400 is temporary on Instagram’s side.
Wait 30–60 minutes before retrying.
Use a private/incognito window when you attempt again.
8. Alternative Access with Facebook login
If nothing else works, try connecting via Facebook login. Many users report that this works even when the direct Instagram login doesn’t.
