How to use Inrō's templates?

Turn any Scenario or Campaign into a reusable template, share it via link, and credit your referrals automatically.

Introduction to Templates

With Inrō templates, you can package your best-in-class automations (Scenarios) and DM blasts (Campaigns) into bite-size, exportable workflows. Simply build your Scenario or Campaign once, save it as a template, then share it via a public link—optionally embedding your referral code so every new user you invite gets a discount and you get the credit.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Build Your Template Base

You can start from either:

  • Automation route: Go to Automation → New Scenario and configure your flow.

    Automation dashboard – “New Scenario”

  • Campaign route: Go to Campaigns → New Campaign and set up your message sequence.

    Automation dashboard – “New Scenario”

Tip: Give it a clear, descriptive name (e.g., “Welcome Series – Retail EU”) so recipients know exactly what they’re importing.

2. Save to Your Account

After configuring your Scenario or Campaign, click Save in the top-right corner. This persists your template in your library.

3. Open the Share Menu

  1. From the Automation or Campaigns list, hover over your item.

  2. Click the ⋯ (More) icon on the right.

  3. Select Share to open the sharing panel.

Item row actions – open “Share”

4. (Optional) Toggle On Your Referral Code

In the Share panel:

  • Flip on “Referral code” to append your code to the link.

    • Your referrals automatically receive the discount you’ve earned.

    • Any new signup is attributed back to you under Account → Referral.

Note: If you plan to share publicly—social posts, blog articles, or just for interest, turning this on is a no-brainer so you never miss attribution.

5. Add Title, Tag & Description

Before copying your link, fill out:

  • Tag: A short label to categorize your template (e.g., “E-com Onboarding”).

  • Description: A quick overview of when to use this template and any setup notes (variables, triggers, audience requirements).

This metadata helps recipients immediately understand its purpose and prerequisites.

6. Copy & Share Your Link

Once details are saved, click Copy link. Share this URL in chats, posts, emails, or embed it in your website.

What Recipients See

When someone opens your link, they get:

  1. Template Preview – A summary of your Scenario/Campaign steps and settings.

  2. “Add to My Inrō” Button – One click to import into their workspace.

  3. Referral Discount (if toggled) – They’ll see their discount applied at signup.

Where Referral Results Appear

Go to Account → Referral to see users who signed up via your link and any discounts applied.

FAQs

Q: Can I share without embedding my referral code?
A: Yes—simply leave the toggle off. The template link still works, but it won’t apply a discount or attribution.

Q: Can I deactivate a shared link?
A: Yes—you can revoke or regenerate the link any time from the Share panel.

Q: If I update the original Scenario/Campaign, will existing recipients’ copies update?
A: No—importing creates a one-time copy. Share a fresh link for major revisions.

Q. What's the best way to promote my templates?
A: Feature links in your blog posts or social media bios—templates are a great lead magnet. You can share it with your audience/friends/family anyone else who might benefit from using it.
